Claire was born in 1985 in the Cotswolds and grew up on Whiteway Colony, studying at Stroud Art College and later at Swansea Metropolitan University, where she gained a 1st class honours degree in Illustration. She has supported herself for the past 15 years as a freelance illustrator, with an award-winning career predominently in the Greetings Card industry.

Now living and working in the beautiful Gower peninsula in Wales, UK, Claire is very much inspired by her stunning surroundings. When the weather allows she is to be found painting en plein air at her local beaches, or perched on a cragg with her easel.

Whatever her subject matter or media, Claire’s work captures beauty, energy, light and emotion through her spontaneous and expressive style. She feels that working in a variety of styles keeps all of her work
